About Us

"American Idol has taken over my whole life." Paula Abdul, World Leader.

American Idol Mojo is a free service which tracks and analyzes the buzz surrounding contestants in the American Idol season in 2008.

We believe that the world of the web has changed: users know this, but the people who run TV and media do not always appreciate this. We hope that American Idol Mojo can show deeper insight into how user-generated content provides significant insight into issues that the show's fans care about.

Unlike other blog reporting services, we offer insight into what people are saying. Two metrics we track on this site are:

  • How favorable (or unfavorable) are the blog and group posts regarding each contestant.
  • Whether these postings reflect feminine or masculine use of language in the way they are written.

We offer this information for free. The technology we use to do this is developing all the time, so please bear with us as we learn, respond and grow.

We hope you find useful information on American Idol Mojo. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of trends and data that we display. In the old days we might have said that our information is "For Your Amusement Only". It's free, and it's interesting. Enough said.

To find out more about our analytical tools and services, please check out our blog or contact us directly at our email address.

American Idol Mojo is a privately funded initiative based in Menlo Park, California. We have no financial affiliations to television shows but our team members all have the right to watch TV, shout at the screen and have a direct personal interest in whether contestants win or lose.
